The Africa Region has launched a newly designed website and monthly newsletter, Ekhaya. The newsletter, primarily in English, is intended to share stories of what God is doing in, through, and for the Church of the Nazarene in Africa.

The name, Ekhaya, comes from a traditional Eswatini greeting.

“By shouting EKHAYA, you are announcing your presence and demonstrating respect to the host,” Regional Director Daniel Gomis explained. “In return, you are welcomed into the hospitality of their home with joy.

“This resonated with me since this hospitality is a value that is found in many parts of Africa. This is a connection that is present in several different African cultures, the authenticity of our people, and one of our core values. Through this concept, we understand that Ekhaya is an open invitation.

“So today, I am extending an invitation to you, an invitation to enjoy the hospitality, the culture, the richness of the African continent, and most importantly, it is an invitation to participate in God’s work for His kingdom in Africa.”
