Guatemala children’s missionary retreat deemed ‘unforgettable’

by | 30 Nov 2018

The Guatemala West District Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries welcomed 88 children from across the district to a children’s missionary retreat 23-25 November. Lisbeth Mazariegos coordinated the event, which took place at the Central American Biblical Pentecostal Seminary in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.

“Children’s missionary retreats are one of [Nazarene Missions International’s] strategies to involve children in missions and motivate them to serve,” said Ana Maria Crocker, regional NMI coordinator. “NMI is encouraging all districts to utilize this resource.”

Crocker went to say that without the dedication of the Guatemalan church leaders, the event would not have been as impactful.

“The Guatemala West District leadership team that coordinated the event made it unforgettable,” Crocker said. “It was a blessing for the children as well as for the adults who had the privilege to be present.”
