In Memoriam: 30 November 2018

The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 19-30 November 2018.

Carole (Hellings) Beers, 79, of Kent, Ohio, passed away 15 November. She was the wife of retired minister John Beers, who served in Ohio.

Rachel Bryant, 100, of Chilliwack, British Columbia, passed away 17 November. She was the widow of retired minister Willis Rennick, who served in British Columbia, Alberta, and Oklahoma. Willis Rennick passed away in 1991. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Fred Bryant, in 2011.

Ernest Eades, 99, of Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland, passed away 21 November. He was a pastor and missionary, serving in the British Isles, Cabo Verde, and Azores. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Eades, in 2015. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jessie Eades, in 1974.

Joyce Foster, 93, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away 15 November. She was the wife of retired minister and evangelist A. D. Foster, who served in Iowa and Kansas.

Sue (Jennings) Gadbow, 78, of Monroe, Iowa, passed away 16 November. She was the wife of retired minister and evangelist Donald Gadbow, who served in Indiana, Illinois, Florida, Oklahoma, Louisianna, Texas, and Missouri.

Carol (Ogren) Hadlock, 89, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, passed away 19 November. She was the wife of retired minister John Hadlock, who served in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Florida, and California. 

Larry Hawn, 83, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away 7 November. He was a retired minister, serving in Alaska and Wyoming. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Hawn.

Imogene (Cole) James, 100, of Camby, Indiana, passed away 11 November. She was the widow of retired minister Robert James, who served in Indiana. Robert James passed away in 2017.

Willard Johnson, 84, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away 24 November. He was a retired minister, serving in Tennessee and Louisiana. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Johnson.

Joyce (Reeves) MacMillan, 91, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away 17 November. She was the wife of retired minister and district superintendent Lorne MacMillan, who served in Indiana and led the Canada Central District.

C. Robert Moore, 91, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, passed away 14 November. He was a retired minister, serving in Indiana, Arizona, and Florida. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Moore. 

Betty (Lyon) Pischel, 90, of Bethany, Oklahoma, passed away 16 November. She was the widow of retired minister and educator Jack Pischel, who served in Texas, Oklahoma, and Iowa. Jack Pischel passed away in 2012.

T. Leslie Shelton, 78, of Loomis, California, passed away 17 November. He was a retired minister, serving in California. He is survived by his wife, Susan Shelton.

Ronald Wesley, 84, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away 17 November. He was a retired minister, serving in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Florida. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Wesley.
