The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 17-21 July 2023.

Alice Erwin, 92, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away 21 July 2023. She was a widow of Carl Erwin a retired minister who served in Ohio, Arizona, Kansas, Missouri, and North Carolina. Carl passed away in 2020.
Louis Gatti, 77, of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, passed away 12 July 2023. He was a retired minister who served in Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, Shirley. 

John Hadlock, 93, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, passed away 10 July 2023. He was a minister who served in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hadlock, who passed away in 2018.

Joyce Phipps, 84, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away 16 July 2023. She was the widow of Samuel Phipps, a retired minister who served in Kentucky and Tennessee. Samuel passed away in 2016.

Shirley Rich, 85, of Murrieta, California, passed away 12 July 2023. She was the wife of Melvin Rich, a retired district superintendent who led the Central California District from 1999-2010. Mel also served as a minister in California.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
