The South America Region announced two new field strategy coordinators, Romero Moreira for South Brazil and Sandro Ribeiro in Central Brazil.

Romero Moreira obtained a district license in 1992 and became associate pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in Porto Alegre. In March 1995, he became the senior pastor of the church and was ordained as a minister in the Church of the Nazarene in 1996. He currently serves as pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in Porto Alegre and as district superintendent of Brasil Gaucho. Romero has been married to Rosanna Moreira for 29 years and they have one daughter, Rebecca.

Sandro Ribeiro has served in several ministries in the Church of the Nazarene in Brazil, including youth ministry and education as a professor at the Faculdade Nazarena do Brasil. He was ordained as a minister in the Church of the Nazarene in 2000. He currently serves as integral coordinator of ministries and jurisdictional secretary for Brazil in addition to serving as secretary of the credentials board for the São Paulo District. Sandro is married to Anelise, and they have two daughters, Mariana and Beatriz.

“I want to thank both Wagner Souza and Luis Henrique Biazon who for more than five years were contributing to the development of the work of the Church of the Nazarene in Brazil through the South Brazil and Central Brazil fields respectively, as well as promoting church missionary work and ministry development,” said Regional Director Christian Sarmiento. “We are sure that their time in these fields has left a mark on the Church in Brazil.”
