Guatemala youth give their lives to Christ at camp
More than 400 participants from the North District of Cobán in Guatemala attended a youth camp organized by the district Nazarene Youth International board. The camp theme was Transformed, and the event took place 16-18 April in Pequixul.
During the camp, 12 youth gave their lives to the Lord, and many others recommitted theirs.
"We know the importance of caring for and preparing the youth, as they are important in the advancement of the Church of the Nazarene," said Pedro Quim, North Cobán district superintendent.
Verapaz del Norte District Superintendent Francisco Heriberto Cho Si was the camp’s guest speaker. The music was led by a band from the Setaña Church of the Nazarene.
"We thank God for all that He is doing in our district, and we trust that He will help us continue to fulfill the Great Commission of making Christlike disciples in our community,” Quim said. “To God be the glory!"
