Former missionary killed in car crash

Janelle (Zurcher) Fosnaugh, a former Nazarene missionary, was killed in a car crash on March 31. She was 52. 

Fosnaugh was driving west on 109th Avenue in Crown Point, Indiana, when a driver heading east crossed the center line and hit her car. The NWI Times reported Fosnaugh's car landed on its roof in an adjacent field. Fosnaugh was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the eastbound car and the driver of a third car involved in the accident were taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Crown Point Police Department.

Janelle and her husband, Lane, served as missionaries to Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Haiti for a total of 18 years.

Prayer is requested for the Fosnaugh family and those injured in the crash.

A funeral will be held Saturday, April 5 at 10 a.m. at the Grace Point Church of the Nazarene. Friends are invited to a visitation one hour before the service. The service will be conducted by the McComb Funeral Home:
