Edward “Eddie” Estep has been appointed as superintendent for the South-Central Ohio District. The appointment was made by jurisdictional General Superintendent Fili Chambo, in consultation with the South-Central Ohio District Advisory Council, and the board of General Superintendents.

Estep’s appointment is effective 1 October 2024. He will replace Samuel Barber, who was elected global director of Nazarene Discipleship International in June.

"Diane and I are grateful for the privilege of returning to the South-Central Ohio District,” Estep said. “We are most looking forward to sharing life and ministry together as we make Christlike disciples in the nations."

Eddie has served as the Kansas City district superintendent since 2018. Previously, he served as superintendent of the South Carolina District from 2006 until his appointment to Kansas City.

He has pastored churches in Columbus, Ohio; Maysville, Kentucky; Ripley, West Virginia; and Parkersburg, West Virginia.

Estep served on the Board of Trustees for Nazarene Bible College, Nazarene Theological Seminary, and Mount Vernon Nazarene University. He also served as secretary on the MVNU Board and on the Regional Course of Study Advisory Council for the USA/Canada Region. Estep has served on various district boards in Eastern Kentucky and Central Ohio and as district Nazarene Youth International president for West Virginia North. He was elected to the Church of the Nazarene's General Board in 2005.

Eddie and his wife Diane currently reside in Overland Park, Kansas.
