Enrique Solano Castro has been appointed by the Board of General Superintendents as superintendent of the Alto-Marañon District in Peru. He replaces Herbert Barco Paima, who was elected to be the rector at Nazarene Theological Seminary in Peru.

The appointment process was done in coordination with the District Advisory Board, Peru Field Strategy Coordinator Evelio Vásquez, and General Superintendent Gustavo Crocker.

"I thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve Him," Castro said at his installation ceremony. "I want to make a statement of faith for our district: this will be a year of unity and healing for our district."

The installation ceremony was held 31 January. The Alto Marañón District includes the Churches of the Nazarene in the provinces of Jaén and San Ignacio north of Cajamarca-Peru.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
