Nazarene Women’s Ministries and Adult Ministries International recognize the challenges parents face raising children to live pure lives in today's culture.

That’s why Women's Ministries and Adult Ministries International urge parents to visit the purehope.net website to learn more about protecting their children in a world where pornography is available through various handheld devices and where every day children are exposed to sexualized images in advertising and on television.

The pureHOPE organization's mission statement is "a world free of sexual exploitation and brokenness." Pure stands for prayer, understand, resolve, and engage.

There are two important resources offered at purehope.net:

  • Sex and Cell Phones: Protect Your Children. New technology brings new challenges. This is an educational resource booklet for Christian leaders and parents as they purchase wireless devices for children. In today’s hyper-sexualized culture, every child is at risk. With the right resources and solutions, parents can equip themselves to protect their children today and into the future.
  • What Every Parent Needs to Know. This is a four-part booklet series that addresses topics all parents, caregivers, and educators must know about. Topics include addressing the sexualized culture, raising children in a XXX culture, navigating the mobile age, and leaving a godly legacy.

The organization has received support from numerous church leaders, including General Superintendent Emerita Nina G. Gunter, who is a member of the organization’s Board of Directors, and current General Superintendent J.K. Warrick.

Jerry R. Kirk, founder of pureHOPE, has led the U.S. effort against child pornography, adult obscenity, and sexual exploitation and violence since the nonprofit organization's inception in 1983.

He has approached this task as a public health and safety matter and a justice and human rights issue.
