En la actualidad, Siegfried es pastor de Kansas City First Church of the Nazarene.

Siegfried sustituirá a Thomas Taylor, superintendente del Distrito Southern California desde 2014. La asignación se hará efectiva el 2 de julio de 2024.

Shawn se licenció en Sociología en el MidAmerica Nazarene College (ahora, Universidad), y obtuvo un máster en Point Loma Nazarene University.

Siegfried ha servido como pastor en la Hooker Church of the Nazarene en Oklahoma (1992-1994), Blythe Church of the Nazarene en California (1994-1997), Council Bluffs First Church of the Nazarene en Iowa (1997-2001), Visalia Church of the Nazarene en California (2001-2009), y Denver One Hope (2009-2018) en Colorado. En 2018, regresó a su ciudad natal de Kansas City para pastorear Kansas City First Church of the Nazarene.

Shawn y su esposa, Sherri, residen en Spring Hill, Kansas.
