El Distrito Iowa eligió a Michael Kraemer el 9 de julio de 2021 como su nuevo superintendente. Kraemer actualmente se desempeña como pastor principal de Prairie Heights Community Church of the Nazarene en Bismarck, North Dakota. 

Reemplazará a Kim Smith, quien ha dirigido el distrito desde 2013. Kraemer comenzará su misión el 8 de agosto de 2021.

Kraemer tiene un bachillerato en religión de Olivet Nazarene University y ha sido pastor en múltiples comunidades. Sirvió en Jamestown First Church of the Nazarene en North Dakota (2001-2003), Carrington Community Church of the Nazarene en North Dakota (2003-2005), Mitchell Harvest Community Church of the Nazarene en South Dakota (2005-2006), Oakes Church of the Nazarene en North Dakota (2006-2013), Salem Grace Church of the Nazarene en Illinois (2013-2015) y Bismarck Prairie Heights desde 2015.

Michael y su esposa, Latifah, residen actualmente en Bismarck, North Dakota, con sus dos hijos.
