Are You Planning Ahead for Your Next VBS?

Every year, Nazarene churches are bombarded by numerous VBS programs from other denominations and companies not realizing that there is a VBS curriculum created by Nazarenes for Nazarenes. Before you purchase a VBS resource that may not reflect the Church of the Nazarene’s theology, investigate one created especially for Nazarene children. Here is a brief look at NDI’s VBS offerings for 2024 and 2025.

2024 VBS – River Rafting Adventure

The 2024 VBS is titled River Rafting Adventure! Each stop on this exciting adventure will draw your children closer to God and his love. Children will learn that God fills us with his love, God transforms us with his love, God saves us with his love, and God wants us to share his love with those around us. On this rafting trip, your children will travel down the river with Bobby (a scientist) and Sammy (a river guide). Along the way, Bobby and Sammy will share how God’s love is for them and for everyone they meet on their journey. As your children see the new communities they visit transformed by God’s love, their own lives will be transformed. River Rafting Adventure will be available for download in early January in both English and Spanish.

2025 – Starlight Airlines

The 2025 VBS is titled Starlight Airlines. As passengers on Starlight Airlines, your children will break the “time barrier,” traveling into Old Testament time periods to experience highlights from the book of Genesis. Captain Gen, the inventor of this special airplane, pilots each flight. Along the way, flight attendants direct the journey to help children discover foundational truths from the stories of creation, and the lives of Noah, Abraham, and Joseph. Your children will learn that God made us, God saves us, God calls us, and God sends us. Get ready for a journey into the past that has the power to change the future – and the eternity – of those in your own community.

KRK Missions Offering

Both River Rafting Adventure and Starlight Airlines are four-day VBS experiences, with an optional fifth day that provides an opportunity for the children to take the love of God to the community through a special missions project. A closing celebration is also included to give the children an opportunity to share what they have learned with their families and allow opportunity to invite parents and other guests to begin a relationship with God.
