The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 19-23 February 2024.

Glenn Chaffee, 97, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away 21 February 2024. He was a retired minister and educator who served in California, Michigan, New Mexico, and Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Chaffee, who passed away in 2012. 

Evelyn Gibson, 99, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away 15 February 2024. She was the widow of Don Gibson, a retired district superintendent who led the Wisconsin District (1956-1962), Missouri District (1967-1972), South Central Ohio District (1972-1975), and Eastern Michigan District (1978-1983). He served as a minister in Chicago and Wisconsin. Don passed away in 1983.

Jerry Harrison, 82, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away 19 February 2024. He was a retired minister who served in Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Harrison, who passed away in August of 2023.

Bobby Midgette, 86, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away 18 February 2024. He was a retired minister who served in Illinois, North Carolina, and South Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Donna Midgette.

Margaret Pulkkinen, 79, of Henrico, Virginia, passed away 19 February 2024. She is the wife of Robert Pulkkinen, a retired minister who served in Maryland, Maine, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Margaret Raycroft, 92, of Estes Park, Colorado, passed away 18 February 2024. She was the widow of Ray Raycroft, administer who served in Michigan, Indiana, and Ontario, Canada. Ray passed away in 2015.

Lloyd Simpson Jr., 72, of Paris, Illinois, passed away 16 February 2024. He was a retired minister who served in Illinois and Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Gail Simpson. 

Joses St. Phard, 82, of Roslyn, Pennsylvania, passed away 21 February 2024. He was a minister who pastored Word in Action Ministries. He is survived by his wife, Chantal St. Phard, whom he served alongside. 

John B. Townsend III, 76, of Marlborough, Massachusetts, passed away 22 February 2024. He was a retired minister and chaplain who served in Massachusetts. He is survived by his wife, Linda Townsend.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
