For many years Continuing Lay Training has ministered to incarcerated inmates through a Bible study correspondence program.

This growing ministry processes an average of 141 Bible studies monthly. With each completed Bible study, CLT has the privilege of building significant relationships with these men and women by answering tough questions and encouraging them in the faith.

Recently, Ken Johnson, who was released from prison in April 2011, took a “thank you trip” by driving more than 500 miles from Chicago, Illinois, to the Global Ministry Center in Lenexa, Kansas.

While he was in prison, Johnson decided to personally thank everyone in the ministry who was involved in helping him grow closer to Christ.

“Knowing when I was filling out the answers in the Bible studies that someone in the outside world would actually be reading them and writing responses to my questions inspired me to keep moving forward,” he said.

During his time at the Global Ministry Center, he got a tour and registered at DiscipleshipPlace.org to continue courses online.

As an avid Chicago White Sox fan, he also took in the Whites Sox - Kansas City Royals game that night while he was in the Kansas City, Missouri, metro area.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
