The CAFÉ (Casados Felices) Marriage Ministry of the Vida Nueva Church of the Nazarene in Machiques in the Venezuela Lago District organized a conference called Conectados (Connected) for the second consecutive year.

The conference aimed to bless and strengthen marriages through several workshops: “Physical and Emotional Self-Care in Marriage,” “Technology and Social Networks vs. Marriage and Family,” and “Principles, Roles, and Functions in Marriage and Society.”

The event was held in Zona Perijá over three consecutive weeks, and 31 couples participated. The conference ended with a romantic evening filled with live music, dinner, and a sermon. In addition, certificates were given to the couples for their participation.

Roxana Mercado shared that she and her husband struggled emotionally in their marriage.

“But since the conference began, we have learned to see things from another point of view. I can say that my married life made sense again,” Mercado said. “Even though my husband is still in the process of conversion, his relationship with me has changed, and he is more attentive, loving, and patient. I know that God will continue transforming and guiding us in our marriage.”

Keudy Rujano and Lunnary de Rujano, CAFE Ministry coordinators, say people need to be  intentional in their marriages.

“This ministry has helped many families to be formed according to the image of God for the strengthening and restoration of the same,” Lunnary said. “For this reason, this ministry is of great importance to each Nazarene.”
