Peru Amazon District hosts camp for nearly 100 children

by | 31 Jul 2019

Nearly 100 children attended a district children’s camp in the Peru Amazon District 12-14 July at the Túpac Amaru I Church of the Nazarene. Local zone Director Edgardo Roman and his wife, local Pastor Nancy Romero, coordinated the camp alongside District Superintendent Jorge Wamputsag.

Pastor Eudo Prado and his wife, Mary Prado, were the camp speakers. The Prados shared about biblical heroes like Moses, Ester, David, and Jesus. The children participated in worship, played games, and shared their talents in a talent show.

Local Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries President Pablo Manuel Vasquez Mendoza and local pastor Castinaldo Vargas coordinated the administrative aspects of the camp, while games were led by Pastor Helda Tantalean Saldaña.

“This camp was only possible by the hard work of the congregation that acted as hosts for the camp,” Eudo said. “Seeing the great blessing from this event, plans are now under way for a new camp with wider reach. God bless all these leaders for their investment in the growth and spiritual development of our children.”
