Jeannette Mukendi was appointed superintendent of the Côte d ‘Ivoire Central District on Saturday, 24 February 2024, in Bouake, Cote d‘Ivoire, under the leadership of Moïse Toumoudagou, strategy coordinator of the Africa West Francophone Field (AWFF).

Mukendi is the very first woman to hold the position of district superintendent on the AWFF.  She replaces Prao Kouakou, who will assume other responsibilities.

A teacher by training, Mukendi has long served in Sunday school and as associate pastor to her husband, Alidor Mukendi, who is also the National Coordinator of Education (NCE) for the churches in Côte d’Ivoire.

Jeannette also served the women’s secretary of the Cote d’Ivoire South District.

For the past five years, she has availed her teaching skills to the Africa West Francophone Field as a trainer for the Freedom To Lead (FTL), one of Africa Region’s leadership training initiatives.
