Argentina workshop trains authors
Nearly 15 people attended an author workshop 23-25 April in Pilar, Argentina. The workshops covered editing, research, the qualities and disciplines of good authors, use of social networks, and unique tools and technology to help authors.
The global Nazarene literature ministries, South American Literature Ministry, and Theological Education Ministry held the event, and attendees came from across the country.
Workshop presenters included Patricia Picavea, Casa Nazarena de Publicaciones editor and regional literature coordinator, Jorge Julca, regional theological education coordinator, and Luis Manoukian, who has more than 20 years of experience with evangelical publishers and independent authors.
Church of the Nazarene General Editor Frank Moore was also at the event. Moore has written several books published by The Foundry Publishing (formerly Nazarene Publishing House), including The Power to be Free, Rendezvous, and Coffee Shop Theology — all of which have been translated into Spanish.
This was the first author workshop event in Argentina and the second in South America. More events are planned to encourage, prepare, and develop authors across the South America Region.
