Missions Mobilization

A retreat for Missions Mobilization coordinators in the Mesoamerica Region was held from 8-13 February in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic. Fourteen mobilizers and coordinators from the five fields in Mesoamerica attended and enjoyed a time of learning, planning, prayer, and relaxation.

During the days of rest and training, God moved through each leader, not only as they planned and strategized for their different mission fields but also helped them realize that God’s mission to raise more missionaries to the nations is centered on personal relationships.

The group witnessed the Lord work in powerful ways as they met some wonderful people staying or working at the hotel at the same time.

For example, the Missions Mobilization team decided to pray for Lina, a woman from Colombia who was alone on her birthday. After the prayer, Lina shared her story with tears in her eyes, which began a beautiful friendship with the group.

Another employee, Josefina, worked serving appetizers, and one day, she ended up being part of one of the team’s devotionals, singing and worshiping God. At the same time, her testimony opened the door for the leaders to pray with the hotel’s entire kitchen team – more than 20 people.
God used the Missions Mobilization leaders to impact others and, at the same time, teach them the importance of making personal relationships with those around them.

This retreat also focused on God using the coordinators and their ministry teams as instruments to motivate young people, adults, and even children so that in the coming months and years, they can say: “Here am I; send me” (Isaiah 6:8).
