More than 550 people from the Venezuela First, Llanos, Andean, Lake, and Center districts attended the Equipped for Living Nazarene camp, held 28 August to 1 September in Jiraquito, Venezuela.

This year, the camp’s mission was to build up a committed and passionate generation to follow God's call and to identify emerging leaders in the country.

“For each Nazarene in Venezuela, the camp is held each year to unite us, to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to see miracles of conversion and transformed lives, as well as lives called to the ministry,” said Leidy Cordero, Venezuela communications coordinator.

Adiel Amadeu Teixeira, president of the Global Nazarene Youth International Council, preached at the event. He spoke on living in obedience, forgiveness, holiness, and following the Lord’s call.

“We thank Pastor Adiel for his enthusiasm and passion with which he [preached] the Word,” Cordero said. “We give thanks to the Lord because many young people, adolescents, children, and couples have obtained tools to live according to the purposes of God in our country.”

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
