A total of 54 children attended a Children's Missionary Orientation Camp (COMI) in Mexico to learn about missions while being encouraged to get involved.

The COMI was held at the district campground from July 14-16. It was organized by Nazarene Missions International (NMI) of the southern border district of Mexico and directed by Adaia Argueta, coordinator of the district Children's Ambassadors ministry.

In addition to learning about missions through the experiences of a missionary, the children learned firsthand what it looks like to be a Nazarene missionary. The children "boarded a plane" created by the COMI team, which took them to several countries while learning about different cultures and God's call for children in various areas of Christian ministry.

"Seeing the children so interested in sharing the gospel and being sure of their faith in Christ filled me with new strength," Argueta said.

Shadia Franco, the district NMI president, thanked God for his help at every step of the activity.

She also thanked Regional NMI Coordinator Ana Crocker, District Superintendent Roberto López Fajardo, and the entire team, including the pastors and ministries such as NYI, DNI, Evangelism, and Missionary Mobilization for their support and work with the children.

"The mission camp was a great blessing in my life," Argueta said. "If I had the opportunity to lead a children's mission camp again, I would not hesitate to do it."

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
