In Memoriam: May 13, 2016

The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received May 9-13, 2016.

Patrick Crislip, 41, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away May 11. He was a former employee at the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center in the Information Technology department. He is survived by his wife, Michelle (Hamilton). 

Frances Hardin, 92, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away May 11. She was the widow of retired minister Harry Hardin, who served in Indiana. Harry Hardin passed away in 2003. 

James McGuffey, 84, of Cicero, Indiana, passed away May 10. He was a retired minister, serving in Indiana. He is survived by his wife, June (Wiles) McGuffey. 

Helen (Crawford) Snyder, 87, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, passed away April 29. She was the widow of retired minister Mark Vandine, who served in Minnesota, Michigan, Missouri, Indiana, and Arizona. Mark Vandine passed away in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Earl Snyder, in 2000.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
