Recent praise reports and prayer requests from NCN News, Nazarene Missions International, and JESUS Film Harvest Partners include:

PRAISES

JESUS Film - Cuba

"I have suffered because of my husband," said Isabel in Cuba. "We have been married for 24 years. Though he is a doctor, he is also an alcoholic and it has affected our marriage. We have a dysfunctional home and live with my mother-in-law, who runs a spiritist center in our area. My older son is serving a legal sanction due to the negative influences. All this weighs heavily on me. My sister is always telling me about God, His love and His power to transform my life and my family. The day I saw the JESUS Film, I understood He is the true way. I hope my faith will increase. Now I am happy and learning more about the Living God and His power!"

JESUS Film - Panama

"I was in anguish," said an elderly woman in Panama. "I live alone with my adult son who has special needs. I felt very alone and was afraid everything would turn out badly. I worry a lot for my son because I am getting old. After talking to the JESUS Film team member, I was encouraged and feel hope in Jesus. I give my home to God so it can be a new preaching point for sharing about Jesus. I give everything to God."

JESUS Film - Sri Lanka

"As I saw these people for the first time, my heart sank," said a team leader in Sri Lanka. "The people in this area live a deprived life. Disease and illness are common here — it broke my heart to see them. At first, we were unable to get permission from the village headman to show the JESUS film, but after praying about it, God made it possible. Permission was granted due to the influence of the headman's friends and family, and doors were opened. I am praying constantly that God will bless them abundantly. They are now friends and help us with the JESUS film showings."

PRAYER REQUESTS

Cholera outbreak

A Cholera outbreak in the Kindu area of the Democratic Republic of Congo has taken the lives of at least 50 people. Five of these deaths are in the Nazarene family — two young mothers with their babies and a young man who is survived by his wife and two children.

HEALTH-RELATED REQUESTS

Marion Rich

Former missionary Marion Rich continues to improve beyond doctor’s expectations after a car accident last week. She remains on a respirator and — due to her age — they have decided not to operate on the numerous rib fractures. She also has two fractures in the spine that do not require anything but immobility for the time being. Marion and her husband, Harry, served in Haiti and Rwanda. She is also the mother of missionary Dwight Rich, who currently serves in Ecuador.
