Ernest Treviño has been appointed superintendent of the Texas-Oklahoma Latin District. The appointment was made by General Superintendent Gustavo Crocker in consultation with the Texas-Oklahoma District Advisory Board, USA/Canada Regional Director Stan Reeder, and the Board of General Superintendents.

Treviño replaces Caleb Herrera, who has served as superintendent since 2013. The assignment becomes effective 1 October 2023.

He then attended Trevecca Nazarene University and graduated with a master’s degree in theology and religious studies in 2020. He helped open Living Water Church of the Nazarene in Progreso, Texas, in 2014 and has served as the pastor there since 2017.

Ernest has been married to his wife, Nelinda Treviño for 30 years, and together they have three children.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
