Cuba: Support option information

Cuba: Support option information

by | 26 May 2018

The Church of the Nazarene is grateful for the outpouring of prayerful support and the desire of so many to assist those impacted by the recent tragic event in Cuba. It is natural for the people of God to be moved by the Spirit to be generous and compassionate in response to suffering. Thank you for listening to the Spirit and looking for ways to respond.

Thanks to the continuous and faithful support of Nazarenes around the world, the global church is already in a position to provide whatever assistance may be needed to help those impacted.

For those wishing to respond, there are two ways to do so:

  1. Continue to pray for all those affected by this tragic event.
  2. As a symbol of solidarity with the children who have been orphaned, give to the Global Child Development Fund that invests in the lives of children in other countries of the world in ways that make a difference, both for today and into eternity. Give through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
