Tami will be serving as a missionary in Zambia, in the Southeast Region of Africa, assisting the Field Strategy Coordinator with administration, finances and communication. She is from the Midwest Region of the United States, having lived in Minnesota, Iowa, and Indiana. Her adult sons, Aric and Jared, live in Indiana and Iowa, respectively. She studied journalism (B.A.) and international commerce and policy (M.S.), and worked in government and education before receiving a call from God to ministry. She has served in churches in Iowa and Indiana and is a district licensed minister in the process of completing studies toward ordination.
Previously, Tami has served on mission trips to the Dominican Republic (Work & Witness/Jesus Film), Flint, Michigan (youth group serving local community), Nashville, Tennessee (care for the homeless), and Houston, Texas, area (flood relief). She has a heart for compassionate ministries and has previously served the homeless, those in addiction, and children and adults with disabilities.
Tami is excited to follow God’s call to Zambia and covets your prayers and support for this assignment, for the transition to go well for everyone involved, that the Holy Spirit will move, that Jesus will be known across the nations, and that God will be glorified. Thank you for being a part of God’s mission in Africa!
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
