Flags of the Nations: Cabo Verde

Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*.

Elton Wood, 97, of Riverside, Rhode Island, passed away on 22 June 2023. He was a retired minister, evangelist, and missionary who served in Cabo Verde and Brazil for 40 years.

Pastor, missionary Ernest Eades remembered

Retired pastor and missionary Ernest Eades passed away 21 November. He was 99. Ernest Eades was born 27 October 1919 in London, England. He met his first wife, Jessie Munn, at the Emmanuel Bible College in Birkenhead, England, where they both graduated from in 1940. They were married in 1942, and
