Evangelism helps new district grow to unreached areas of Nigeria

The Port Harcourt District of southern Nigeria, which was established in 2021, has identified Bonny Island, located off the coast of Nigeria, as a target location to begin to grow the Church of the Nazarene.

Flags of the Nations: Nigeria

Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*.

Nigeria's emphasis on missions spurs growth

The Church of the Nazarene in Nigeria has grown through an emphasis on missions, sharing Christ with others just as the love of Christ was shared with a Nigerian solider many years ago.

Retired missionary Earl Hunter passes away

Retired missionary Earl Hunter, 99, passed away April 8. Earl and his wife, Mabel, served as missionaries to Bolivia, Guatemala, and Nigeria. Earl Hunter was born September 11, 1915, in Colorado to C. J. and Georgia Hunter. He earned a Bachelor of Theology from Northwest Nazarene College (now

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
